Shrine of the Luminary

"Commissioned by the Master Builder, the shrine is a key landmark on Maethrillian's 2nd northward world-plate, commemorating the successful completion and operation of the first line of Shield Worlds. I never pass a visit to this place whenever I'm back at the ecumene. The shrine features a breathtakingly cavernous space, larger than any Array Installation control room. The highlight of the shrine, a miniaturized Shield World floating at its center is nothing short of a technological marvel by itself. The star that shines brightly at the center of the dissected shell is not merely a trick of hard light technology, but is truly a star, with its own scaled down fusion process. It's a testament of Forerunner ingenuity and technological prowess.

I come here to meditate most days. To escape from the ceaseless hustle and bustle of the ecumene. I would stroll along the vast empty mezzanine, allowing my mind to wander as I stare at the hypnotically strange geometries and intricate fractal patterns that line the superstructure yonder. Along with the deep and slow oscillating, but constant subsonic hum that permeates the entire chamber - like the heartbeat of a slow rotating pulsar, while basking in the subtle warmth of the miniature star as its light becomes exposed with the shell's periodical spin - all this, it lulls me into a deep state of contemplation."
